UW-Parkside, also known as UWP, is a public university situated in Somers, Wisconsin. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System and offers a variety of undergraduate majors and master's degrees across several academic departments. Unlike most universities in the UW System, UW-Parkside and UW-Stout are not named after the cities they are located in. The university holds accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the NCAA Division II for athletics. The Parkside Rangers, the university's athletic teams, compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and proudly wear forest green, black, and white.
