Master's degree candidates may elect a thesis or non-thesis option.The PhD degree in Chemical and Molecular Engineering provides a thorough grounding in the fundamental principles of chemical engineering, as well as an intensive research experience. This degree is mainly designed to prepare students for a research career in academia, government or private laboratories, R&D in industry, or elsewhere.
