"Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg (HfJS) - the University of Jewish Studies Heidelberg - is Germany's only dedicated university for Jewish studies. Founded in 1979 by the Central Council of Jews in Germany, it offers programs in Jewish theology, Jewish history, cultural studies, Hebrew language and literature, and Jewish-Christian dialogue. With approximately 200 students from multiple countries, it is a small, internationally engaged specialist institution."
