M.A. in Creative Music Technologies, Maynooth University

The M.A. Creative Music Technologies at Maynooth University is a skills conversion program for graduates with musical abilities who wish to master technological applications. The curriculum covers sound recording and engineering, computer music programming, acoustics, and composition using the dedicated Music Technology Labs. Students gain hands-on experience in studio space and have the opportunity to have their original compositions performed. The program builds technical skills in audio signal processing, synthesis, and music software development. A key feature is the final research project, which can take the form of a composition portfolio or a scholarly thesis. Graduates often pursue careers in music production, sound engineering for the games industry, or post-production for film and television.
