The classroom study includes core engineering courses as well as technical electives, including advanced courses in microscopic and medical imaging, medical instrumentation, nanotechnology, and biomechanics, devices and design. ;Students following the thesis option will take 24 credits of classroom study and complete a 6-credit thesis. Those not pursuing thesis will replace the 6-credit thesis with two technical electives.;Award-Winning Research;Work with award-winning faculty on cutting-edge research including preventing birth-related injuries, helping people with amputated limbs, and detecting the onset of Alzheimer's disease. ;You can pursue your own thesis research or work with faculty presenting at conferences and publishing papers.
