Claremont Graduate University is a private, graduate-only research university founded in 1925 in Claremont, California, as part of the Claremont Colleges consortium. Unlike its undergraduate-focused sibling institutions in the consortium, CGU enrolls only master's and doctoral students, with a total enrollment of roughly 2,000. Its schools include the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management, the School of Educational Studies, and the School of Social Science, Policy and Evaluation. CGU is known for interdisciplinary research, positive psychology (a field pioneered in part by CGU faculty), and management education built on Peter Drucker's teaching legacy. Its Claremont campus gives students shared access to the libraries and resources of the wider seven-college Claremont Colleges consortium.
