At the Study in India Edu Diplomatic Conclave 2026, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan invited foreign higher education institutions to partner with India’s innovation driven and multidisciplinary education system under the National Education Policy 2020.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called on foreign universities to collaborate with India’s fast growing education ecosystem at the Study in India Edu Diplomatic Conclave 2026 in New Delhi.
Addressing ambassadors and representatives from over 50 countries, he outlined reforms under the National Education Policy 2020, highlighting multidisciplinary learning, affordability and global engagement. He said India aims to become a developed nation by 2047 and sees education as central to that vision.
Officials noted that Indian institutions are expanding joint, dual and twinning programs, while the University Grants Commission has introduced a transparent framework that enables foreign universities to establish campuses in India within defined timelines.
Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, skill integration, research partnerships and regulatory pathways for international branch campuses.
The conclave positioned India as an open, innovation focused destination seeking long term global education partnerships.
