Cornell University is a private Ivy League land-grant research university located in Ithaca, New York. It was founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White with a vision of providing education to all, regardless of religion or race. Cornell is known for its commitment to co-education and non-sectarianism. The university is organized into seven undergraduate colleges and seven graduate divisions at its main campus in Ithaca.
