Clayton State University is located in Morrow, Georgia and serves the Metro Atlanta area. It is a selective Senior Unit of the University System of Georgia. The main campus spans 192 acres of wooded grounds with five lakes, creating a park-like atmosphere. The campus is conveniently located a short drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and downtown Atlanta. In addition to the main campus, Clayton State has instructional sites in Peachtree City, Jonesboro, and McDonough. Spivey Hall, which opened in 1991, is a renowned chamber music venue in the Atlanta metropolitan area, hosting over 400 performances annually. The university's athletic programs, including basketball, soccer, cross-country, tennis, golf, and track & field, compete in Division II of the NCAA and the Peach Belt Conference. The women's basketball team achieved national success by winning the NCAA Division II national championship in 2011.
