The University of Roehampton, London, is a public university located in the United Kingdom. It is situated in the London Borough of Wandsworth and has three main sites in Roehampton. The university has a rich history, with its roots tracing back to four institutions established in the 19th century. These institutions now form the university's constituent colleges, which are surrounded by student accommodation. From 2000 to 2004, Roehampton collaborated with the University of Surrey as the Federal University of Surrey. However, in 2004, Roehampton became an independent university and was later renamed the University of Roehampton in 2011. It is classified as one of the post-1992 universities and is a member of the European University Association and Universities UK.
