Durham University, also known as the University of Durham, is a prestigious institution located in Durham, England. It was established in 1832 through an Act of Parliament and later incorporated by royal charter in 1837. Notably, it holds the distinction of being the first university to open in England in over six centuries, making it the third-oldest university in the country.
