Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a public research university in Western Australia. It is named after Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament, and is the only Australian university named after a woman. ECU was established in 1991 through the amalgamation of several tertiary colleges with roots dating back to 1902. It has two campuses in Perth, located in Joondalup and Mount Lawley, as well as a regional campus in Bunbury. The university offers a wide range of courses, including online study options.
